這是一次別開生面的休 旅遊活動。 由島內旅遊達人楊媽媽 畫，並邀集好友7人同行，同時由當中七二高齡的范老提供自家房車，以及老練的駕駛技術，一起作新北市東北區的自助逍遙遊。 這是一個迷你的旅行團 ，坐在小小的車廂，大家湊得很近，聊天、討論行程、吃零嘴、欣賞外景...都共同快樂參與，別有一番風趣。 平溪老街，因受限於時 分配，只得走馬看花，在車上匆匆帶過。 先把車停妥，立即開始 行參觀，首站目標指向十分風景區。 走下石階，一座觀瀑吊 赫然呈現眼前，走過橋，跨過基隆河，便抵達風景區。橋的那端出口正好是相平行的火車鐵道，我們就沿著鐵道邊的小路漫步，經過風景區的售票亭；我們一樣並沒安排進入園區遊園觀瀑的時間，所以過門而不入，況且之前大家都曾來過，此刻並不感遺憾。 我們直往前方隧道的暗 走去，沿著鐵道數著枕木，悠哉悠哉前進，因為火車1小時只發一班，走在鐵道旁並無安全顧慮。 潮濕爬滿青苔的隧道， 有燈光，摸黑走在洞裡，只見鐵軌的暗澹反光，陰森森的，令人毛骨悚然，不過結伴入內，倒也是一次難得的探險經驗。 穿過隧道後折返，這時 隧道方傳來火車嗚嗚汽笛聲，一列彩妝的觀光小火車，慢條斯理開過來，擦身而過，往十分火車站方向遠去。 50年代的鐵路交通情景 想不到還會在這裡重現，平溪更加讓人懷念不已。 在吊橋頭的涼亭小憩， 名的眼鏡洞景區就在旁邊，有瀑布從洞上方沖瀉而下，白練之美與岩石壺穴之奇串連一氣，成為平溪一奇。
